The Missouri Meerschaum Freehand Corn Cob Pipe is a work of art! A deep, conical-shaped bowl, dark stain coating, rusticated bowl, and Italian vulcanite bit give this pipe a unique and distinctive appearance. Like the other Missouri Meerschaum premium pipes, the Freehand has a genuine hardwood insert in the bottom of the bowl.
Due to the nature of the corn cobs themselves, you may notice some chipping on the top edge of your pipe. This is perfectly normal and won't in any way affect the way your pipe smokes. These chips only add to the charm and character of corn cob pipes.
Pipe Nook Notes
This is an unfiltered pipe. If you are looking for a first pipe or are fairly new to pipe smoking, I strongly recommend trying a 6mm or 9mm filtered pipe. If you're one of the many who battle the dreaded tongue-bite, filtered pipes help to alleviate this problem. You can always try smoking your filtered pipes without a filter in place, to see if unfiltered smoking irritates your tongue, and can purchase non-filtered pipes from there. If you already know that tongue-bite is not an issue for you, then never mind. :)
