Aftensmad is the first limited-edition release in the Per Jensen Legacy Collection, a series created in tribute to Per Jensen's father, Georg Jensen, a Danish Navy veteran whose legacy continues to influence the pipe community. Inspired by one of four menu cards Georg kept from his time aboard the Danish royal ship Dannebrog in 1929, Aftensmad, Danish for "dinner" or "supper," celebrates the evening meal as a satisfying final course to the day.
Developed by Per G. Jensen and Cornell & Diehl's Jeremy Reeves, the blend layers Red Virginias, Dark-Fired Burley, Turkish, and Cavendish, pressed and sliced into small flakes. Each component is designed to function like a course on a fixed menu, creating a rich, balanced tobacco intended to be enjoyed after a satisfying meal.
