From pipe pouches to rustic tampers and sleek lighters, Peterson's range of accessories complement the Irish manufacturer's long-standing tradition of craftsmanship, with each accessory custom designed and tailored to pair naturally with any Peterson pipe.
The Sherlock Holmes line of pipe accessories underlines this dedication to quality with a range of highly functional desktop designs all presented in rich, oxblood red colorways. Like the popular Grafton travel jar models, this Sherlock Holmes Tobacco Jar features an inner lining of hardened elastomer, tested to ensure an air-tight seal, and is wrapped in a reinforced, oxblood-colored genuine leather exterior to protect the tobacco from sunlight. Unique to this model, however, the design is elegantly paneled, forming a hexagonal prism, and is topped with a metal handle depicting Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes smoking a Peterson pipe.
Pipe Nook Notes
Make sure you note the specifications. From the pictures, I was initially expecting this jar to be twice as large as it really is. In actuality, it's not much larger at all than the Peterson travel tobacco jars that I carry. It will hold at least a 2 oz. tin's worth of tobacco, and a bit more, but that's about it. You won't be able to stuff 8 oz. of tobacco into it, no matter how hard you try! Regardless, it's a handsome and well-made, though diminutive, tobacco jar.
